The Blue Shift

Factory picture modes often run at 9300K or higher. The industry reference standard is D65 at 6500K. Without calibration, the image is filtered cool before you ever see it.

Crushed Blacks

OLED panels in standard modes can clip shadow detail. Entire scenes lose depth, and the director’s intent disappears into the black floor.

Pushed Skin Tones

Vivid and Standard modes inflate the red gamut. Faces read warm and saturated instead of matching the reference monitor.
